All I ask for is kindness.

We received a report that a local breeder had dumped some rabbits in a park who he had failed to sell as Easter holiday gimmicks.  This was in July.  One of our staff members rushed to the park and she was able to find and capture four of them.

Mulholland is one of those four and he is still a baby, about 10 months of age.  He is a super cute Dutch & Dwarf mix bunny.

We have been working with Mulholland for several months now and he is getting better with people.  Every day he seems a bit less terrified, though it is clear this boy has never before received loving care and socialization.

We had him neutered and he is now ready for adoption.  His progress with trusting people will need to continue in his new home, so an experienced owner is needed.

Domesticated rabbits like Mulholland have no chance for survival on their own outdoors.  Dangers for them come not just from our extreme weather climate, but from coyotes, birds of prey, dogs, disease, and more.  Yet it is heartbreaking to find that reckless, cruel people continue to abandon unwanted rabbits outdoors rather than surrender them to shelters and rescue organizations.
