Please be sure to join us Saturday for the 3rd Annual Family, Fur & Fun Festival!

Update: Festival Recap.

The Family, Fur & Fun Festival
is a unique, family-friendly event designed and coordinated by Nevada SPCA volunteers to encourage people of all ages to respect and appreciate animals.

Please come this Saturday (October 10th), between 10am-4pm, at Summerlin Centre Community Park, 1800 S. Town Centre Drive in Las Vegas.

Admission is free, there is an abundance of free parking, and children and dogs (on leashes) are very welcome. No RSVP is required.

Children can earn Animal Hero Badges at the festival by participating in at least 5 free activities which help them learn them about and/or care for animals.

In the first two years of the event, many hundreds of children (all ages welcome) earned the badges, along with thousands of other visitors attending, and this year we hope for our best turn-out yet.

Bring your dog(s) for an afternoon of pampering and good times. On-site activities for dogs, some with minimal fees, include: professional pet portraits (courtesy of Pet'ographique), dog bathing & grooming, and dog massages.

All companion animals are also welcome to get microchip IDs (for only $5, courtesy of Aloha Animal Hospital) and - brand new this year - create pet art.

Nevada SPCA rescued animals will be available at the festival for adoption. You can also shop with vendors supporting the festival and animal rescue, with both pet-related and non-pet-related items and services. In addition, there is music, a DJ, food vendors, and the opportunity to meet with animal lovers throughout the community.

Proceeds raised from sponsors and many incredible raffle items (including a two-night stay in Beverly Hills or Laguna Beach) benefit Nevada SPCA's humane education efforts in southern Nevada. Proceeds from the first two festivals resulted in the creation of "Encouraging Kind Minds" humane education workbooks (now in their second edition) and worksheets and other materials, which have been given at no cost to students and teachers. The proceeds also cover the costs of the humane education presentations, which are conducted by a Nevada SPCA volunteer and teacher, in area schools and churches and other gatherings.

You can visit the Family, Fur & Fun web site for more details.

We look forwarding to see you Saturday!
