I am cuter and more lovable than pirate Captain Jack Sparrow.

Update: Captain Jack is being adopted by his foster mom!

Our Captain Jack is calmer and more affectionate than the movie version of the character, but he has similarities too, most notably with his independent spirit and confidence.

Captain Jack is a great big youngster, weighing in at 15 pounds, due less to obesity than his Maine Coon mix breeding (Maine Coons are one of the largest cat breeds).

He is extremely fortunate to be alive. We rescued him when he was only a few days old (without his mom to care for him). He immediately went into foster care and his foster mom valiantly fed him every few hours to save his life.

Captain Jack was plagued with recurring infections, which cost him his right eye due to immense scarring.

His foster mom has kept him almost a full year to help him recover, but he is now ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

Captain Jack requires a special needs home, less for his missing eye than for his periodic respiratory infections (which he seems prone to).

To meet this sweetheart, please ask for Captain Jack by name on Saturdays in our lobby when his foster mom brings him for adoption.
